Passengers Complain About Wings Air Flight Yogyakarta – Surabaya Delay For Hours Without Any Information And Compensation

JAKARTA - The Wings Air flight departing Yogyakarta (Adi Sucipto) to Surabaya (Juanda) with flight number IW 1846 experienced a delay, on Friday, April 22. Passengers complained about this, because there was no explanation from Wings Air regarding the delay. Not even any compensation.

"Yesterday I was told it was 15:44. Then this morning at 5.40 until Adisucipto checked in, it was said to be delayed at 9.30. The reason is waiting for the plane from Bandung. 9.30 announced with a delay of 10.40. For operational reasons. 10.40 no announcement, the screen changes to 11.40. 10:40 no announcement. Only at 11.55 the plane (plane) arrived and boarded." that was the complaint of one of the passengers whose identity was hidden through a short message received by the editor on Saturday, April 23.

When contacted by telephone, Lion Air's publicist named Danang could not provide an answer.

"You can WhatsApp me, I'll help you check first, okay?" said Dan.

However, after being confirmed via text message, and until this news was revealed, there has been no response from Wings Air regarding the flight delay of Wings Air with number IW1846.

Responding to this problem, the Daily Chair of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) Tulus Abadi said that Wings Air must compensate with the applicable provisions.

“Airlines that are delayed must provide compensation, as long as they fulfill the applicable regulations. If it is proven that it has not fulfilled its obligations, the regulator/Kemenhub should reprimand it." said Tulus, Friday, April 22.
