Transjakarta Accident That Collised 3 Cars In East Jakarta Toll Road, Perum PPD Will Evaluate Bus Feasibility
JAKARTA - The Djakarta Public Passenger Transportation Company (Perum PPD) has handled the Transjakarta bus accident with body number 622 on the Jagorawi Toll Road KM 02,400 towards Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta.
The traffic accident occurred when the Perum PPD Transjakarta Bus, which had finished its service and was on its way to refuel.
Arriving at Jagorawi Toll Road KM 02,400 in the direction of TMII, the driver of the Perum PPD Transjakarta Bus with the initials RS lost consciousness and lost control of the bus he was driving.
In addition, this traffic accident caused three cars near the scene to be damaged. Meanwhile, the Transjakarta driver with the initials RS died.
For the accident, Perum PPD field officers, PT. Jakarta Transportation and Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas immediately took care of it.
An examination has been carried out by the PT Jasa Marga medical team who reported that the driver (driver) with the initials RS was declared dead on the spot. There were no other victims, only material losses for the heavy damage to the vehicle.
When confirmed, the President Director of Perum PPD, Pande Putu Yasa, emphasized that Perum PPD was fully focused and committed to handling this incident and making efforts to minimize the occurrence of traffic accidents.
"Perum PPD is committed to continuing to cooperate with the investigations carried out by various parties so that no similar thing will happen in the future," he said, Saturday, April 23, evening.
Pande Putu Yasa said, as the operator of Transjakarta, Perum PPD had made efforts to minimize similar incidents from happening. Efforts are made by providing guidance before and after service, checking the condition of the vehicle and the physical condition of the driver before operating, as well as the obligation to attend regular medical check-ups.

East Jakarta Head of Traffic, AKBP Edy Surasa said the accident occurred at 21.30 WIB.
"So the Transjakarta bus initially collided with two cars, then because it was pushed it hit another car. So the Transjakarta bus hit three cars," said Edy to reporters, Saturday, April 23, yesterday.
AKBP Edy also detailed the vehicles involved in the accident.
"Essentially, four cars were involved in the accident, with details, two Innova cars, (one) Nissan Livina and a Transjakarta bus," he said.
It is suspected that the cause of the accident was because the driver of the Transjakarta bus, numbered B 7595 TGB, had a heart attack which eventually caused the bus to lose control and hit another car.
"Yes, it's true (heart attack), our suspicions in the field, when checked by officers, the Transjakarta driver (driver) has died," he explained.
Kasat said that the purpose of the Transjakarta bus was to enter the toll road, Edy admitted that he did not know this. The accident case was also handled by the Gak Sub-Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police Ditlantas.
