DPR Hopes Police And Dishub To Regulate Homecoming Traffic For Eid 2022 Keep Homecoming Emotional
JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Adang Daradjatun asked the officers who secure and regulate the traffic flow for Lebaran 2022 to prioritize a psychological approach.
He hoped that the ranks of the National Police and the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) would keep the emotions of the people who were going home to their hometowns.
"After all, the emotions of the people who want to return or come for Eid with their relatives in the area are very important," said Adang in the Dialectical Democracy Discussion by the Coordinator of Journalists of the Parliament (KWP) in Jakarta, Thursday, April 21.
He said that for two years, people had postponed going home to meet their families. The emotional state of longing to meet family becomes a new task that is guarded by the police.
"The Ministry of Transportation is also an important part of facilitating the process of returning our brothers and sisters to the region," said Adang.
He assessed that the National Police and the Ministry of Transportation had prepared various strategies to make the 2022 Lebaran homecoming program a success. In addition, the community had also anticipated that by going home earlier, so they did not wait for the day before Eid.
Adang reminded the travelers to maintain health protocols, even though they had received a booster vaccination. He said, wearing a mask is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself from contagion of COVID-19. In addition, he also asked the police to provide more security, due to the possibility of an increase in the crime rate.
Some time ago, the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi predicted that 85 million people would go home for Lebaran 2022. Budi said the number was based on the results of two months of research. He explained that three times the research was carried out, where it was not allowed to go home, continue without antigen and finally go home, and the number continues to rise.
