General Dudung Wants TNI AD And PT DI To Strengthen Cooperation On Aircraft Maintenance
JAKARTA - KSAD General TNI Dudung Abdurachman hopes that the TNI AD and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) can strengthen cooperation, especially in aircraft maintenance. There are several aircraft managed by the Indonesian Army Aviation Center (Puspenerbad) in need of repair.
In order to increase cooperation between the TNI AD and PT DI, the Army Chief of Staff came directly to the Head Office of PT Dirgantara Indonesia in Bandung, West Java, Thursday 21 April along with his entourage.
"This visit is the implementation of the follow-up to the agreement meeting for cooperation. This is important because there are currently Indonesian Army aircraft managed by Puspenerbad that need to be repaired immediately for smooth operation of tasks in the field," said Dudung Abdurachman in his remarks as quoted from the broadcast. written by the Information Service of the Indonesian Army.
General Dudung appreciated the support of PT DI which is always ready to meet the needs of the Army's defense equipment, especially in the operation of aircraft and helicopters as well as their rejuvenation and maintenance.
President Director (Director) of PT DI Marsda TNI Gita Amperiawan said that his party hoped that the TNI AD would also entrust the maintenance and repair of aircraft to PT Dirgantara Indonesia.
The reason is that currently the maintenance and maintenance of aircraft and helicopters belonging to the Indonesian Army is entrusted to PT Nusantara Turbin and Propulsi (NTP).
During the Kasad visit to PT DI, Gita invited Dudung to see firsthand the N219 aircraft developed by PT DI.
PT DI's board of directors also demonstrated the company's ability to produce aircraft and provide maintenance, modification and renovation services, including PT DI's ability to manufacture flight simulators and weapon systems.
PT DI since 1983 has been trusted by the Indonesian Army to produce five NC212 helicopters, 50 Bell 412 helicopters since 1988, 12 Fennec helicopters since 2014, and 25 BO 105 helicopters since 1983.
