Government Asked To Make Operational Rules For Heavy Transport Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr 2022

JAKARTA - Members of the DPRD for the Province of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) have asked the central government to issue regulations regarding heavy transportation operations related to the 2022 Eid homecoming moment. Especially before and a few days after Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri.

Member of Commission III for Development and Infrastructure of the South Kalimantan DPRD (Kalsel) H Ardiansyah said the arrangement of heavy transportation was for the convenience and smoothness of Eid or homecoming transportation.

He explained that the regulation of heavy transportation refers to the old route to Banjarmasin-upstream area (Banua Anam) as well as the Sungai Puting road section, Tapin Regency.

Ardiansyah explained in more detail, Banua Anam South Kalimantan covers Tapin Regency, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), Central Hulu Sungai (HST), North Hulu Sungai (HSU), Balangan and Tabalong Regency whose roads also access East Kalimantan (Kaltim) and Central Kalimantan. (Central Kalimantan).

"Similarly, the direction of Banjarmasin-east/southeast region needs heavy transportation arrangements, in this case such as large plantation products," said the representative from the electoral district of South Kalimantan IV.

The national road or trans Kalimantan east/southeast of South Kalimantan passes through Tanah Laut (Tala), Tanah Bumbu (Tanbu) and Kotabaru regencies to neighboring provinces/Kaltim. The arrangement of heavy transportation is similar from Banjarmasin-Kalteng.

Ardiansyah hopes that in addition to regulating heavy transportation, the government also needs to pay attention to the provision of integrated resting places with health facilitation, especially for travelers who travel long distances.

Furthermore, Ardiansyah expressed his gratitude to the South Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) for repairing damaged sections of the road, although they are not as smooth as asphalt.

"Such as repairing roads and bridges, all of this is to facilitate the flow of homecoming in the atmosphere of Eid 1443 H/2022 AD," he said.

He reminded travelers or users of road transportation services at the moment of Lebaran 2022, they must still be careful for mutual and passenger safety, especially for taxis for public passenger transportation.

In addition to complying with traffic regulations, he said, travelers should also remain disciplined about health protocols (Prokes) to avoid an outbreak of the Corona virus or COVID-19 for mutual health.
