Spokesperson To The Israeli Defense Minister: The Only Solution To The Conflict, Proclaim The State Of Palestine, Jerusalem The Capital
JAKARTA - The spokesman for the Palestinian President, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, revealed the only solution to the Israeli conflict in the Palestinian territories. He said the solution was to establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
This was conveyed by Nabil in response to the statement of the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Israel Benny Gantz.
"All proposals, whether it be a state with temporary borders, or an entity or state without sovereignty, will not end the conflict and will lead to confrontation and war," he told reporters.
Nabil stressed that Israel can proclaim a Palestinian entity. This effort also maintains Israel's security hegemony. "Peace can only be achieved by respecting UN resolutions," Nabil said.
In the Middle East war in June 1967, Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, Palestinian territories. Since then Israel controlled these areas and began to occupy them.
Palestinians have been trying to establish a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
