Budgeted Rp. 34.3 Trillion, Sri Mulyani Hopes THR Provision For ASN To Help Promote Economic Recovery

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said the government's decision to return to providing Hari Raya Allowance (THR) this year is expected to be a driving force in economic recovery efforts.

This he conveyed when giving an official statement regarding the provision of THR and the 13th salary to ASN this weekend.

"The policy of providing THR and the 13th salary is expected to continue to provide more conducive factors for the community to carry out activities and carry out activities as well as to continue to help Indonesia's economic recovery," he said, quoted on Sunday, April 17.

The state treasurer revealed that this was done in line with the provision of various additional supports as an economic cushion for the wider community, especially the poor and vulnerable groups, as well as complementing the national economic stimulation strategy.

"The steps taken by the government will encourage the acceleration of the national economy by increasing people's purchasing power," he said.

The Minister of Finance added, in line with the economic recovery and handling of COVID-19 which is getting better, and the state budget is starting to show its recovery, the policy on the provision of THR and the 13th salary has been adjusted.

This year, the total THR budget for ASN has reached Rp. 34.3 trillion. This figure is distributed to the central ASN, TNI and Polri in the amount of Rp. 10.3 trillion, to the regional ASN of Rp. 15 trillion, and to pensioners of Rp. 9 trillion.

In his explanation, the 13th year and salary are given at the basic salary/pension and allowances attached to the basic salary/pension, as well as 50 percent of the monthly performance allowance for those who receive the performance allowance.

"For local government agencies, a maximum of 50 percent of additional income by taking into account the ability of the regional fiscal capacity and in accordance with statutory regulations," he asserted.

Meanwhile, THR disbursement is planned to begin in the 10-day period before Eid al-Fitr. However, if THR cannot be paid during that period due to technical problems, then THR can still be paid after Eid.

"Meanwhile, the 13th salary will be paid in July 2022 for educational needs," closed the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
