The Indonesian National Team Has 4 Mental Problems That Shin Tae-yong's Note, One Of Them Gives Up Easily

JAKARTA - The assistant coach of the Indonesian U-19 national team, Nova Irianto, detailed four mental problems that the Garuda squad had. The problem is illustrated when the players are in practice or matches.

Nova said that the Indonesian U-19 national team actually experienced a lot of positive progress during the training camp in South Korea. However, the coaching team has an important record regarding the mentality of the players.

"Mental problems have become a big note that has been highlighted by our head coach Shin Tae-yong. A sense of responsibility, self-motivation, discipline, and easy to give up", wrote Nova on his Instagram account.

The mentality of the player can be clearly seen in training and matches. How players endure fatigue and pain can very clearly reflect the mental aspect.

Nova said that this minor mental issue must be fixed as soon as possible. According to him, if it is slow to fix, they hope to see the national team excel is just wishful thinking.

"Because maybe that's what is often forgotten in early childhood development because sometimes we only focus on technique and tactics and forget about the mental aspect", he continued.

The Indonesian U-19 national team began undergoing training camps in Korea in mid-March. There they were recorded to have participated in ten test matches with the Korean national team and other local teams.

In the latest trial, the U-19 national team suffered a 1-3 defeat against Yeungnam University on Wednesday, April 14. It was the sixth defeat of ten trials conducted.
