Going To Cirebon, Jokowi Monitors Channel And Road Cleaning

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo continued his working visit by reviewing the road and bridge cash-intensive activities carried out in Panjunan Village, Lemahwungkuk District, Cirebon City, West Java.

During the review of labor-intensive activities, Jokowi was accompanied by PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.

Through his statement, the Head of the DKI Jakarta - West Java National Road Implementation Center, Wilan Oktavian, revealed that this karga-intensive activity includes cleaning of canals to road medians.

"Today we are working on the Cirebon section to Losari, Central Java. There are about seven points. There is the cleaning of the canal over there, there is also cleaning of the median, not painting, only cleaning it," Wilan was quoted as saying on the Cabinet Secretariat's official website, Wednesday, April 13.

Wilan said that this kind of labor-intensive work is usually done twice a year, before Idul Fitri and Christmas and New Year's.

He also hopes that labor-intensive activities in West Java Province can be completed a maximum of 14 days before Eid. "This can be completed on D-14 Eid, all throughout West Java," he said.

It is known that the data from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) describes that labor-intensive activities in West Java are for routine road maintenance, bridge routines, and drainage revitalization. using a total budget of IDR 133 billion.

These three activities are carried out on a self-managed basis with payments given directly to workers in their respective work areas.

In addition, other labor-intensive programs are contractual in nature with management carried out by service providers, with a total budget of IDR 183 billion. The total number of working days (HOK) for labor-intensive programs in West Java Province is 377.486 people.
