Bogor Police Will Restrict Large Vehicles On Alternative Peak Routes
BOGOR - The Bogor Resort Police (Polres) team, West Java Regional Police have prepared the concept of limiting large vehicles such as buses and trucks to pass through alternative routes in the Puncak area, Bogor Regency.
"There needs to be a regulation to limit buses or trucks to the alternative route to Puncak, by installing signs at the intersection of alternative routes," said Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Dicky Anggi Pranata, as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 8.
According to him, one of the causes of congestion on alternative routes around Puncak is buses and trucks, which are almost the same width as the road.
Dicky proposed the creation of a special parking location for large vehicles that would enter the tourist area on the alternative route to Puncak. Then provide special transportation from large vehicle parking locations to tourist attractions.
"For the construction of parking locations, there are plans to have seven locations, namely the Cilember Rest Area, Matahari Tourism Park, the Nyiur Valley Rest Area, then the Anggraeni Rest Area, Sinbad Rest Area, then the Evergreen Hotel and Gunung Mas," he said.
Meanwhile, Bogor Regent Ade Yasin admitted that he fully supports the concept prepared by the Bogor Polres Satlantas to overcome problems that often occur in alternative routes in the Puncak area.
Ade Yasin asked the relevant regional apparatus of the Bogor Regency Government to collaborate to discuss technically to follow up on the program plan.
"It needs to be prepared carefully, especially outreach to the community. Also cooperate with PHRI (Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association) because the Puncak area is a tourist area," said Ade Yasin.
