Governor Khofifah And Mayor Eri Cahyadi Discuss Surabaya MSME Development

SURABAYA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa visited Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi at Surabaya City Hall, discussing the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the City of Heroes.

"Why do I have to visit here, because the scale of the Surabaya APBD is the largest in East Java, so that the expenditure for the APBD related to PBJ (Procurement of Goods and Services) for MSMEs is significant," said Khofifah as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 8.

According to Khofifah, the formats carried out by the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, together with the ranks of the Surabaya City Government, are sufficient to illustrate that the central government's target of Rp. 26.8 trillion can be achieved.

"Therefore, this has to match the mind, so that the MSME sector that must be created and the curation process and market access must be consolidated," he said.

Meanwhile, Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi said the meeting with Governor Khofifah discussed a lot about controlling PMKS, moving the people's economy, moving markets, and developing tourism.

"This includes the matter of the municipal government assets used for MSMEs and 40 percent of the APBD for PJB MSMEs," he said.

Eri said that after his party explained many things related to development in Surabaya, it turned out to be in line with what the Governor of East Java wanted and thought.

"So, the steps we have taken are in line with the direction and guidance of the Governor. I always say that the Surabaya City Government must be in line with the East Java Provincial Government, the governor has conveyed our steps," said Eri.

Mayor Eri hopes that, with the meeting, his party believes that they can provide the best for residents in the city of Surabaya.

"Hopefully the synergy between the city government and the provincial government can continue to be improved in the future," he said.
