Bogor City Government Data On 1,680 PKL Candidates For BLT Cooking Oil Recipients

BOGOR - Bogor City Government, West Java noted that out of 4,800 street vendors (PKL), there were 1,680 selling fried foods as temporary data for potential recipients of cooking oil direct cash assistance (BLT).

Head of the MSME Division of the Bogor City Cooperative, MSME, Industry and Trade Office (DiskopUMKMdagin) Medi Sandora said the thousands of street vendors were spread over 25 market points, parks, offices, schools, shops, intersections and others.

"The data are not all domiciled in Bogor City, I have data according to those who have activities in Bogor City, both city residents and Bogor Regency data," said Medi as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 5.

Medi said that he did not know about the cooking oil BLT instruction announced by President Jokowi on Friday (1/4). However, his party is ready to provide the data needed for the implementation of the subsidy.

Previously, President Jokowi in a video broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel on Friday, announced that the government would distribute BLT cooking oil of Rp. 300,000 to 20.5 million families and 2.5 million street vendors.

"The assistance will be given to 20.5 million families who are included in the list of Non-Cash Food Assistance and the Family Hope Program as well as 2.5 million street vendors selling fried food," the President said.

President Jokowi said this was done because the price of cooking oil rose quite high as a result of the surge in palm oil prices in the international market.

Until now, said Medi, the data for street vendors continues to be updated according to the monitoring carried out. However, because there has been no official letter to the Bogor City Government, his party does not yet know the detailed criteria regarding the BLT that will be given by the central government.

So that the distribution of cooking oil BLT to street vendors who sell fried foods cannot be predicted.

"So wait for me first, we are ready to carry out data collection if needed," he said.
