399,116 Residents Of Bekasi Regency Have COVID-19 Booster Vaccinations
CIKARANG - A total of 399,116 residents in the Bekasi Regency have received a booster dose of vaccine. This figure is based on data from the Bekasi Regency COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force as of Monday, April 4.
"The achievement of booster vaccination has increased significantly, currently it is 16 percent of the target", said Deputy Spokesperson for the Bekasi District COVID-19 Task Force, Masrikoh, in Cikarang, Tuesday, April 5.
She said the trend of increasing the achievement of the third dose of vaccination was influenced by the government's policy which made booster vaccination a requirement for travelers for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah, thereby increasing public interest.
"Our target is that 30 percent of residents have received the third dose of vaccination before the Eid homecoming period", she said.
The Bekasi Regency Government continues to strive to intensify booster doses of COVID-19 vaccination to achieve immunity for the community as a whole so that it is hoped that it will be able to minimize the potential for transmission when the tradition of returning home begins.
"And vice versa, when our residents return here after returning home. Of course, we all hope that there will be no new daily cases before and after the Lebaran holiday", she said.

Several schemes are still being optimized, such as vaccination service centers in all health facilities every day. Then door-to-door service to opening vaccination booths at several community hubs.
"Vaccination booths in public spaces involve the cooperation of several parties, from the private sector, the TNI and Police, to elements of the community", she said.
Masrikoh admitted that of the total COVID-19 vaccination targets in Bekasi Regency, namely 2,417,794 people, as many as 2,168,180 people or equivalent to 89.68 percent had received the first dose of vaccination, while 1,861,744 people or 77 percent had the status of being vaccinated with the second dose.
