Police Fail To Send 30 Prospective Illegal Migrant Workers To Malaysia By Boat
PEKANBARU - The Sinaboi Police, Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau, thwarted the dispatch of 30 prospective illegal Indonesian migrant workers who were dispatched from the waters of Raja Village, Sinaboi District.
All of these prospective illegal migrant workers came from various regions in Indonesia, namely 13 from Lombok, and 11 from North Sumatra (nine men and two women).
Next, one family came from Lampung, namely two men and one woman, a man from Taluk Kuantan, Riau, and two men from Bengkulu.
"There are three suspected perpetrators who have been arrested in connection with this case. They are men with the initials Ar (61) with the status of captain and Mu (68) and Su (29) as crew members", said Rokan Hilir Police Chief, AKBP Nurhadi Ismanto, as quoted by Antara, Monday, April 4.

There are 27 men and three women in total who will go to Malaysia without valid documents, all of which have been detained at the Sinaboi Police Headquarters for further processing.
"The perpetrators were charged with the Trafficking in Persons Act", he said.
The police chief explained that this action was initiated from information from the public about dozens of Indonesian citizens who would be dispatched to Malaysia.
"When the officers arrived, dozens of Indonesian Migrant Workers were just about to leave for Malaysia", he said.
