COVID-19 Update As Of April 4th: New Cases 1,661, Active Cases Remaining 90,235

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 129,899 specimens were examined with the results of 1,661 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,021,642 and active cases have fallen by 5,755 to 90,235", said Health Ministry data, Monday, April 4.

Today's recovered cases increased by 7,355 cases, bringing the total to 5,776,058 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 61 died and a total of 155,349 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 488 cases and a total of 1,240,110 cases. Followed by West Java with 282 new cases with a total of 1,100,512 cases. Banten has 162 new cases and a total of 290,029 cases. Then, Central Java with 149 new cases and a total of 624,615 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 2,496 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 886 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 728 recovered cases, and East Nusa Tenggara with an additional 308 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 92,389,265.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 3.88 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,448 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 196,880,116 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 160,107,111 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 24,045,810. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
