Bogor Regency Government Checks Markets Ahead Of Ramadan: Food Materials To Elpiji Tubes Guaranteed To Be Safe

BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java, through the Department of Trade and Industry (Disdagin) conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at Cisarua Market, Bogor, ahead of Ramadan.

"This is routinely carried out every year before fasting and Eid. This market inspection is to monitor either the price or the availability of basic commodities needed by the community," said Head of Commercial Order, Disdagin Bogor Regency, Muhamad Iban after the inspection, Antara, Thursday, March 31 .

According to him, the results of the inspection state that the Bogor Regency Government guarantees the availability of food, LPG cylinders, and other basic materials such as cooking oil, which has recently been sought after by the public.

"This year is indeed a bit more special, especially bulk oil, we continue to coordinate with the provinces regarding this bulk oil. We are not silent, we are making various efforts, how to make the availability smooth, "said Iban.

He mentioned that the Bogor Regency Government is now starting to conduct market operations in Citeureup to meet the people's cooking oil needs. It is also still waiting for the approval of the central and provincial governments to carry out similar operations in other markets.

"We are still waiting for the next operation from the ministry and the province, because all markets have been complaining about the availability of bulk oil every day," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Director of Operations for the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Pasar Tohaga, Doddy Jatmika, in the same place said that there were several food prices that had increased, although not significantly.

"Alhamdulillah, for the Cisarua Market, the availability of the goods that were delivered earlier, for those commodities, it is safely under control, hopefully there will be no more shortages here," said Doddy.
