Chairman Of Commission II Of The House Of Representatives Will Convince Gorontalo Provincial Center To Be Expanded
GORONTALO - Chairman of Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR), Ahmad Tandjung, said that Gorontalo Province has the potential to be expanded. After touring, he concluded that its natural resources supported the area as a New Autonomous Region (DOB).
“Essentially, in this two-day trip, what I recorded was that Gorontalo Province has a fairly large area. We feel how tiring it is to walk around in several districts. This adds to our confidence in Commission II to convey to the central government. This expansion is a must to advance one region by forming a new autonomous region," he said, quoted from Antara.
He also admitted that he was very impressed with the enthusiasm of the new DOB candidate community in Gorontalo Province, who seemed enthusiastic about taking care of all the completeness of the DOB requirements.
Until now, from the presentation of the committee of new autonomous regions he visited, he considered that it was quite feasible and objective. "This spirit certainly cannot be separated from the governor's role, which encourages the committees to prepare well," he said.
He also said he was relieved because the five new autonomous regions had been visited within two days.
The five new autonomous regions are West Gorontalo, Boliyohuto, Lake, Coastal Bone, and Panipi. West Gorontalo will be split from Pohuwato Regency; Boliyohuto, Telaga and Panipi from Gorontalo Regency; and Coastal Bone from Bone Bolango Regency.
