Jokowi Appreciates API Magelang Islamic Boarding School, 100 Percent Of Students And Teachers Have Been Vaccinated
MAGELANG - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) directly inspected the Asri Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School (API) in Tegalrejo, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province, Wednesday 30 March.
During his visit, Jokowi said the complete vaccination of two doses for teachers and students was an example of implementing good health protocols in Islamic boarding schools. Complete vaccinations for teachers and students make learning and teaching activities run well.
"I saw the activities in Islamic boarding schools, in vocational schools, as well as at Syubbanul Wathon Middle School in Magelang and I saw that the activities were going very well because all students, all students had been vaccinated twice. The President appreciated the efforts to vaccinate teachers and students who have even received a third dose of vaccination or booster vaccine.
The Head of State assessed that the discipline of all Islamic boarding school students in carrying out health protocols, especially in wearing masks, was good.
He hopes that the health protocol implemented by the Asri Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School (API) can be an example for other schools or Islamic boarding schools.
"I think it's good here at Syubbanul Wathon in Tegalrejo. We hope this can be an example. As soon as I saw all students, students wearing masks, I think this is very good," said Jokowi, as reported by Antara.
Meanwhile, the caretaker of the API Islamic Boarding School, Yusuf Chudlori, added that his party had made preparations for activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The pesantren also ensures that all activities are under the supervision of Syubbanul Wathon Hospital. "In the past we kept our distance, now we can start to be a little closer. The hospital is also monitored here because the pesantren also has the Syubbanul Wathon Hospital. So it is monitored regularly," said Yusuf.
