KSAU Orders To Prepare For Fifth Generation War, This Is What Must Be Prepared
JAKARTA - The Air Force Chief of Staff (Kasau) Marshal National Armed Forces (TNI) Fadjar Prasetyo reminded all ranks of the Indonesian Air Force to make long-term investments by carrying out technological transformation and increasing the intellectuality of human resources (HR).
"This needs to be done to face the era of the fifth generation of war," said Fadjar at the International Air Power Seminar "Development of National Air Power to Face Threats in the Era of the Fifth Generation of War" at Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 30.
He said national air power is a reflection of the country's defense strength and the integrity of the Indonesian nation.
"I invite all components of the nation to jointly build a national airpower," he added.
According to him, the Indonesian Air Force must anticipate the potential for invisible war by propaganda and information, by preparing air power that is relevant to future challenges.
Indonesia can no longer ignore space power as a form of airpower implemented in the space domain. Various countries in the world, from the United States to Australia, have formed new organizations to regulate the utilization of these domains.
"As aerospace personnel, we can conclude that airpower is a force that is still and will continue to evolve, as well as being a determinant in future battles," he explained, quoted by Antara.
Through the international seminar, he hoped that the TNI AU's strategic policy embryos could be realized in preparing the development of national air power to deal with threats in the era of the fifth generation of war.
"I also hope that through this seminar all components of the nation can take valuable insights and open horizons of view in a joint effort to build national airpower," he said.
