Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Visits Ponorogo, East Java

JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin paid a working visit to Ponorogo, East Java, accompanied by his wife Wury Ma'ruf Amin and a limited group, Wednesday 30 March.

At around 07.00 western Indonesia time, the Vice President and his entourage departed using a Boeing 737-400 Air Force from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to the Indonesian Air Force Base Iswahyudi Air Base, Madiun, East Java.

Quoted by Antara, when he arrived in Madiun, the Vice President was scheduled to travel overland to Ponorogo to review the export-oriented horticultural development program, namely the first harvest of Cavendish bananas.

After that, the Vice President will review the MSME product display at the Ponorogo Hall and visit the Wali Songo Islamic Boarding School to inaugurate the Islamic International Junior School MI Mambaul Huda Building.

After the entire series of events in Ponorogo was completed, the Vice President and his limited entourage returned to the Iswahjudi Madiun Air Force Base, then took off to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, East Java Province.

The next day, before returning to Jakarta, the Vice President is scheduled to attend the Ground Breaking of Graha 2 Surabaya Islamic Hospital, which is located on Ahmad Yani Street No. 2-4 Wonokromo Surabaya.

Also accompanying the Vice President on this working visit were Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Abdul Halim Iskandar, Head of the Vice President's Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, and Special Staff of the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi, Masykuri Abdillah, and Robikin Emhas.

In addition, he also accompanied the Expert Team of the Vice President, Johan Tedja Surya, Acting Deputy for Economic Policy Support and Competitiveness Improvement M. Zulkarnain, Head of the National Amil Zakat Agency Noor Achmad, and Head of the National Baznas for Distribution and Utilization Saidah Sakwan.
