"Teachers are tasked with educating the nation's life. This is a symbol of the progress of Greater Indonesia. Advanced Indonesia can only be achieved if our education world is advanced. Therefore, we encourage our students to be able to master science and technology and prioritize research and innovation," said Hasto, quoted by Antara. .
One of the symbolic recipients of the bicycle is Harry Hermawan. He is an Indonesian teacher at SD Al-Bayinnah Muhammadiyah, Depok. He expressed his gratitude for being given assistance in the form of a bicycle that Kristiyanto gave.
"Thanks for the help," said Harry.
On that occasion, the fifth grade student of SD Al-Bayinnah Muhammadiyah, Dafael Wahyu, received shoes from the PDI-P. The shoes were handed over directly to the Chairperson of the PDI-P Central National Culture Agency, Aria Bima.
On the sidelines of the submission, Bima had a discussion with Wahyu who said he had won first and second place at his school. He also said that he did not want to be president, politician or MC. "Want to be a businessman," he said, to which Kristianto and the audience laughed in response.
Bima said the General Chair of the PDI-P DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, wanted Indonesian students to master science. On the other hand, PDI Perjuangan also encourages young people to live healthy lives through sports. "Mrs. Mega wants this nation to be healthy and the children go to school. I think it is an asset for the nation in the future," he said.
Previously, the chairman of the committee, Pulung Agustanto, said the gifts to teachers and students were mutual cooperation from various parties in the PDI-P. In this event, hundreds of cyclists also registered to take part in the 2022 Banteng Ride and Night Ride.
He explained that the registration fee of Rp. 100,000 was donated entirely to buy one thousand bicycles and two thousand shoes. "This is a form of PDI-P's concern for teachers and students in disadvantaged areas," he said.
