Gorontalo Police Seize 200 Liters Of Alcohol
GORONTALO - The Gorontalo City Police confiscated 200 liters of Cap Tikus liquor and 300 bottles of other brands during the Community Disease Operation (Pekat) at a number of locations in Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province.
Head of the Gorontalo City Police Operations Section, Commissioner Ryan Hutagalung, said that the Concentrated Operation targeted alcohol, prostitution and gambling.
"We confiscated 200 liters of Cap Tikus from a resident with the initials KI in Libuo Village, while the other 300 bottles were from a number of traders in the Gorontalo City area," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 25.
He explained that the liquor confiscation was carried out after receiving information from the public.
"We then carried out an investigation. And it's true, as many as 200 liters of Cap Tikus were filled in four sacks. Each sack contained 50 liters of Cap Tikus which were packed in plastic we secured," said Commissioner Ryan.
The Concentration Operation was carried out in order to minimize various disturbances to security and public order.
"We continue to target the law enforcement against the circulation of liquor, especially as this is approaching the holy month of Ramadan," said Ryan.
