COVID-19 Update As Of March 24: 5.808 New Cases, 12.586 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 159.954 specimens were examined with the results of 5.808 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.986.830 people and active cases have fallen by 12.586 to 155.977 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, March 24.
Today's recovered cases increased by 18.272 cases, bringing the total to 5.678.510 recovered people. Then, there were 122 positive confirmed cases and a total of 154.343 people.
The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 1.229 cases and a total of 1.039.015 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 1.067 new cases with a total of 1.232.511 cases. Central Java has 625 new cases and a total of 621.254 cases. Then, Banten with 459 new cases and a total of 286.979 cases.
DI Yogyakarta has the province with the most recovered cases today with an additional 7.080 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 2.862 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 1.428 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 640 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 91.035.716.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.24 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 7.875 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 195.366.825 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 156.336.412 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 18.155.763. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
