Husband Of Victim Of Domestic Violence In Social Media Becomes A Suspect

JAKARTA - The police have named Marlaut Farhan Hutapea as a suspect in the alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT) which had gone viral on social media.

In this case, Neira J Kalangi, who was the victim, was named a suspect and detained.

"Yes. The suspect has also been investigated on behalf of Marlaut," said Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Depok Police, Iptu Tulus Hamdani, when confirmed, Tuesday, March 22.

The determination of the suspect against Marlaut Farhan Hutapea was based on letter number B/945/III/RES.1.24/2022/Restro Depok.

Separately, Neira's lawyer, Desi Hadi Saputri, said that Marlaut was named a suspect on March 18, 2022. Thus, the handling of this case is considered fair according to the rules.

"Neira J Kalangi's waiting all this time has finally given rise to a ray of light for her domestic violence case, Marlaut has been named a suspect," said Desi.

Neira J Kalangi (26) became a victim of an alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT). However, this woman became a suspect after being reported by her husband for an illegal access case. This alleged case of domestic violence went viral on Twitter social media after Neira uploaded several photos on the @neirajcqs account. Where, the photo shows his bruised face.

Neira also reported the alleged case of domestic violence. The report is registered in report number LP/B/5981/XI/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated November 29, 2021. In which, her husband, with the initials MFH, is reported.

Neira's attorney, Odie Hudiyanto, said that there had been no progress in the report. In fact, almost two months have passed.

"The case of the domestic violence report at the Polda Metro Jaya was even thrown at the Depok Metro Police and there has been no follow-up," said Odie
