Wanting A More Solemn Ramadan, Sandiaga Uno Distributes Loudspeakers To Several Prayer Rooms In Jakarta
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism, Economy and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, provided assistance in the form of carpets and sound system equipment to several prayer rooms in Jakarta.
"One of them is the Al-Musyarrofah Mosque, Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta," said Sandiaga in a press statement in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, March 20.
The aid is part of preparations for welcoming Ramadan this year. "We are getting ready to worship together again, hopefully the COVID-19 is under control so we can worship more calmly and solemnly. But, please cooperate," he said.
According to Sandi, through this assistance, it is hoped that they can worship as usual because the COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta are starting to subside.
Sandiaga hopes that this assistance can be used as much as possible for residents of worship. Not only that, he also had time to distribute wheelchairs for two residents in need, as well as a display window for local traders.
He also had time to greet several children at the location while distributing toys. "Hopefully this can be a blessing. And the residents here, God willing, their sustenance will increase. Job opportunities are wide open. Income will increase," said Sandiaga.
For information, based on the latest data uploaded by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Jakarta Smart City Instagram account @jsclab, active cases of COVID-19 in Jakarta have so far reached 13,426. Meanwhile, the total recovery to date has reached 1,198,669 people.
