Manchester United Must Find Another Target, Thomas Tuchel Says Chelsea Has Made Him Happy

JAKARTA - The uncertainty of Chelsea's future has recently made the coach, Thomas Tuchel, often associated with Manchester United (MU). Tuchel is expected to be close to Old Trafford and lead the Red Devils.

Responding to this possibility, Tuchel has his own answer. The German coach firmly stated his refusal and said there was no reason for him to leave Stamford Bridge.

"There was absolutely no reaction to that (rumors to Manchester United)," Tuchel said as quoted by Sky Sport.

Tuchel himself still has a contract agreement that binds him until 2024 at Stamford Bridge. In the midst of difficult conditions, Tuchel proved that his focus for the team was well maintained.

The proof is the coach's success in leading Kai Havertz et al advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, plus surviving in the competition for the top four Premier League.

Regarding Manchester United's speculation, Thomas Tuchel ignored it and admitted that he was very happy to be in West London.

"Do you feel I am less committed to the club or less involved in the club in my situation?"

"I don't think so. I'm very happy to be here and I really like working for Chelsea," said the former Borussia Dortmund and PSG tactician.

"This club has everything it takes to make me happy and that's why it's not necessary and we have a lot of reasons to stay now and that's what we are doing."

Chelsea's current situation is difficult because the Blue club is in the process of being sold after the club's owner, Roman Abramovich was suspended for his involvement in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This situation then made Chelsea get hit by the sap after receiving several strict restrictions including the player's business affairs.

The difficult situation then made MU try to coup Tuchel from Chelsea. Because, the Red Devils are currently looking for a new permanent manager to replace Ralf Rangnick next season.

So far Manchester United have been closely linked with Mauricio Pochettino (PSG) and Erik ten Hag (Ajax), but Tuchel's name recently emerged following Chelsea's situation which was not ideal.
