In Front Of The Central Java Police Chief And The 88th Kadensus AT, Bambang Pacul Responds To Sunardi's Shooting
SEMARANG - Commission III of the DPR RI visited the Sukoharjo Police Headquarters regarding the action against the suspected terrorist Sunardi. The arrival of Commission III was welcomed by the Head of Central Java Police Inspector General Pol Ahmad Luthfi, a number of police chiefs from the ranks, and the Head of Special Detachment (Kadensus) 88 AT, Thursday, March 17.
The chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Bambang Wuryanto, stated that his visit to Sukoharjo was a step to discuss overcoming the issue of terrorism. According to the man who is familiarly called Bambang Pacul, terrorism is a very dangerous thing for the State.
"The results of today's discussion will be discussed again at the Commission III working meeting on Monday, March 21, with Densus 88 and the BNPT," said Bambang, based on information received by the editorial staff from the Central Java Police, Thursday, March 17, evening.
According to the senior PDIP politician, the handling carried out by Densus 88 against Sunardi is in accordance with Law No. 5 of 2018.
Bambang Pacul assessed that the procedure for handling Sunardi carried out by Densus 88 was correct. Densus officers applied a standard procedure by using security in the form of a police vest from the beginning of the arrest process which was followed by various subsequent procedures.
"Everything is according to procedure. Then there was an accident, because it shouldn't have been like that. This happened because (Sunardi) didn't want to be stopped," explained Bambang.

In the closed meeting, Bambang said that Sunardi's involvement in the terrorist network was clearly proven.
"If Sunardi is a person involved in a terrorist network, this has clearly been proven," he continued.
However, Bambang continued, Commission III regretted the accident that resulted in Sunardi's death. And for that he expressed his condolences to the family.
"Everything was not a procedural error, but then an accident occurred because the person concerned (Sunardi) did not want to be stopped," he explained.
