Anies Offers Transportation And Infrastructure Investment At Dubai Expo
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan offers investment in the transportation and infrastructure sector through the 2020 Dubai Expo.
"We aim to transform Jakarta, which was previously known as a city with traffic jams, into a sustainable city DKI Jakarta," Anies said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 16.
Anies, who was present online, explained that Jakarta would continue to improve the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure through a number of potential investment projects.
Then Anies invited investors from the United Arab Emirates to invest in the development of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Jakarta Light Rapid Transit (LRT), Transit-Oriented-Development (TOD), electric buses to the Urban Redevelopment Project.
"Integrated intermodal public transportation will improve connectivity and create a more comprehensive mobility roadmap throughout the city," said Anies.
Investors welcome the various infrastructure projects offered by DKI Jakarta through the world business forum.
As a follow-up, a number of meetings will be held between potential investors and Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) that own the project.
To support this, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Jakarta Investment Center Management Unit (JIC) of the DKI Jakarta One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP) will be the gateway for every investor who is interested in investing in Jakarta.
Head of DKI Jakarta Provincial DPMPTSP, Benni Aguscandra, added that JIC is also ready to provide all the information needed by potential investors so that the entire process runs efficiently and effectively.
The "Jakarta Business Forum" was held at the Indonesia Pavilion in the Expo 2020 Dubai event, which was attended by 192 countries.
"This is an opportunity for Jakarta to market investment and cooperation to potential investors from various parts of the world, especially the UAE," he said.
