60 Years Of Work, The Rolling Stones To Tour Europe

JAKARTA - The Rolling Stones will embark on a European concert tour this summer to mark their 60th anniversary as a band, the British rock band said on Monday, March 14 local time.

Quoted from Reuters on Tuesday, the tour, titled "SIXTY", is a tour consisting of 14 concerts, will start in Madrid on June 1 and travel for a total of 10 countries including the UK.

The band will perform at Liverpool's Anfield stadium, making it The Rolling Stone's first show in an English city in more than 50 years. In addition, the band will also be performing at two concerts located at London's Hyde Park.

Drummer Steve Jordan will join vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood during the tour. The Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who joined the band in 1963, died last year at the age of 80.

"We look forward to seeing you all this summer!" wrote Jagger via his Twitter account. He also uploaded a video of the band performing live several decades ago.

Quoted from ANTARA, the track list to be performed during the concert tour includes classic Stones songs including "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Paint It Black". There will also be an unexpected selection of tracks from their extensive music catalog, according to a press release. The tour will also have a new stage production.

The Rolling Stones, who wrapped up their "No Filter" tour of North America in November, will also play Munich, Amsterdam, Bern, Milan, Brussels, Vienna, Paris and Stockholm.
