GP Ansor Supports Owl Squad That Shoots Sukoharjo Terrorists: Even Though He Seems Silent, Sunardi Is A Danger To This Nation

JAKARTA - The Youth Movement (GP) Ansor supports the decisive steps taken by the Anti-Terror Detachment 88 which shot dead the terrorist Sunardi in Bekonang, Sukoharjo. Ansor believes that the evidence held by Densus 88 is solid.

"The evidence that Densus 88 has that doctor Sunardi is a terrorist suspect is very strong. Moreover, when he was about to be arrested, Dr. Sunardi clearly resisted by crashing his car into officers", said Head of Densus 99 Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser), Nuruzzaman, in Jakarta, Monday, March 14 quoted from Antara.

For this reason, Ansor asked the public not to argue about this at length anymore because the police had worked properly.

Nuruzzaman then quoted an official statement from the police, Dr. Sunardi was known to be in charge of the Hilal Ahmar Society Indonesia (HASI). Meanwhile, HASI is known to have been designated as a banned organization because it is affiliated with the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist organization network.

HASI's task is also very dangerous because it recruits, finances, and facilitates the journey of foreign terrorist fighter (FTF) followers to Syria. At JI, Dr. Sunardi has also been asked for several strategic structures, such as being a solemn emir, deputy for da'wah, and information as well as an adviser to the emir.

"This indicates that even though Dr. Sunardi seems silent, it is actually very dangerous for this nation", said Nuruzzaman.

With these facts, according to Nuruzzaman, it is no exaggeration if Densus 88 with the owl logo has determined Dr. Sunardi as a terrorist suspect. According to him, the arrests made by Densus 88 on Wednesday, March 9 2022 were motivated by a big threat from Dr. Sunardi's movement.

According to him, when a suspect commits an act that is very dangerous to officers and the public, it is clear that he must be immediately disabled.

"And the shooting of this suspect is the final decision by considering the danger to the officers and the public", he said

He assessed that Densus need not be afraid because it has clearly carried out its duties by the Criminal Code, Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Police and National Police Chief of Police Regulation No. 1 of 2009 concerning the use of force in police actions.

For the shooting of this terrorist suspect, Nuruzzaman also invites the public to remain calm and prioritize a clear way of thinking. He asked the public not to be easily provoked by untrue information or news.

“Let's filter and be careful every time we get information about this. Don't let us become victims or be used by irresponsible disseminators of information", he said.
