Good News For Candidates For Hajj Pilgrims In Banda Aceh, Local Immigration Offices Return To Serve Passports
BANDA ACEH - The Immigration Office Class I Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Banda Aceh is again serving passport applications for prospective pilgrims (CJH) after previously being stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head of Subsection of Travel Document Services for the Immigration Office Class I TPI Banda Aceh Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar, said that the passport service for prospective pilgrims was carried out by the Eazy Passport program.
"This service through the Eazy Passport program is carried out at the Banda Aceh Ministry of Religion Office. This makes it easier for prospective hajj pilgrims to make passports," said Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.
Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar said that Eazy Passport is a ball pick-up program serving the making of passports for prospective pilgrims. These services are carried out collectively.
"In this service, officers serve 36 passport applicants with details of 35 passport replacements and one new application. The passport applicants consist of CJHs departing 2020 from Banda Aceh City," said Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar. Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar said the passport-making service was carried out by continuing to apply health protocols as part of efforts to break the chain of spread of COVID-19.
The shuttle passport service, said Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar, is a form of synergy between agencies to remain committed to providing the best service for the community.
"In addition to making it easier for the community, collective and direct services at location points like this can reduce service queues at the immigration office, especially with the increase in passport applications as Umrah is reopened," said Ibrahim Darussalam Siregar.
