Prabowo To Saudi Arabia At The Invitation Of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, To Attend The World Defense Show Pameran
JAKARTA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto during his visit to Saudi Arabia attended the World Defense Show (WDS) in Riyadh.
The presence of Minister of Defense Prabowo at the invitation of HE the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who also opened the event on Sunday, March 6.
Quoted from the statement from the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense, the event, which was initiated by the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industry (GAMI) of Saudi Arabia, will take place in Riyadh from March 6 to March 9, 2022.
The exhibition, which will be held every two years, focuses on future defense technology and the latest technological developments from around the world.
More than 590 global companies representing 42 countries participated in the event. A number of national government agencies in the fields of defense, military, and security also took part.
At the event, Saudi Arabia demonstrated their defense ecosystem and capabilities and presented global business and defense innovations.
In addition to attending WDS, on the previous day, Defense Minister Prabowo also attended The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Riyadh Defense Forum 2022.
