Game Of Thrones Actor John Stahl Dies

JAKARTA - Game of Thrones star John Stahl died on the Isle of Lewis on Wednesday, March 2. It is not yet known what the reason for the actor's departure is.

“We are saddened to announce the passing of John Stahl. John is an actor with extraordinary abilities,” said the agent representing John Stahl quoting NME on Saturday, March 5.

"He has appeared in a number of productions with theatrical support in Scotland," he continued.

John Stahl who was born in 1953 and started acting in 1976. His name became increasingly popular after starring in Inverrdarroch in the series High Road.

In addition, Stahl also starred in the Game of Thrones series by playing Richard Karstark in the second and third seasons.

In the film world, Stahl acted in a number of titles such as Loch Ness, Victoria & Abdul, Mary Queen of Scots, and most recently A Castle for Christmas.

Condolences were also sent by a number of writers and theater workers. Writer Ian Rankin wrote, “Sad and shocking news. He is a charismatic figure in the musical Long Shadows. I hope I can work with him again.”

John Stahl died at the age of 68 and is survived by his wife, Jane Paton.
