Russia Claims Destroyed 1,612 Ukrainian Military Targets: Radar Stations, S-300 Missile Systems To Drones
JAKARTA - The Russian Armed Forces destroyed 1,612 targets since the start of special military operations in Ukraine, said Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"A total of 1,612 targets have been destroyed since the start of the operation, including 62 command posts and communications centers, 39 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa missile systems and 52 radar stations", explained in detail quoted from TASS on March 4
He further explained, other targets that were successfully destroyed consisted of 49 aircraft destroyed on the ground and 13 others in the air. A total of 606 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 67 multiple rocket launchers, 227 field artillery and mortars, 405 military motor vehicles, and 53 unmanned aerial vehicles were also destroyed.
Konashenkov said this success was achieved since Russia began special military operations authorized by Russian President Vladimir Putin, on February 24.
To note, Russia and Ukraine agreed on Thursday about the need for a humanitarian corridor to help protect civilians fleeing the Moscow invasion, which has entered its eighth day, the first real progress in talks, as the United States adds Western sanctions on more oligarchs.
Thousands of people are thought to have been killed or injured in the biggest attack on a European country since World War Two began, creating 1 million refugees, hitting Russia's economy, and fears of wider conflict in the West unthinkable for decades.
