Bank Mega Owned By Conglomerate Chairul Tanjung Wants To Divide Dividends Of IDR 2.8 Trillion, Check Out The Schedule
JAKARTA - The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of the bank owned by conglomerate Chairul Tanjung, PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) decided to distribute a cash dividend of Rp. 2.8 trillion for the 2021 net profit.
Management said that the dividend distribution is also equivalent to Rp402,0807561 per share which will be distributed to 6,963,775,206 shares of Bank Mega. In an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, quoted on Friday March 4, Bank Mega scheduled the end of the trading period for shares with dividend rights (cum dividend) in the regular and negotiated markets on March 9, 2022, while in the cash market on March 11, 2022.
Furthermore, the start of the trading period for shares without dividend rights (ex dividends) in the regular and negotiation markets is scheduled for March 10, 2022 and on the cash market on March 14, 2022. Then, March 11, 2022 will be the recording date for the shareholders who are entitled to dividends (recording date).
Furthermore, cash dividends for the 2021 financial year will be paid to shareholders on March 23, 2022. Bank Mega's management explained that the cash dividends will be taxed in accordance with the prevailing tax laws and regulations.
"The amount of tax that will be imposed will be borne by the shareholders of the company concerned and deducted from the amount of cash dividends that are the rights of the shareholders of the company concerned," he explained.
Meanwhile, Bank Mega posted a net profit throughout 2021 of IDR 4,008,051,552,365 or IDR 4 trillion. In addition to being distributed to shareholders as cash dividends, the net profit will also be used as much as IDR 51.55 million as a reserve fund to meet the provisions of Article 70 of the Company Law.
Then, the remaining Rp 1.20 trillion will be recorded as retained earnings.
