Angelina Sondakh Was An Assistant Director At Her Film Prison Wins An International Award
JAKARTA - Former member of the Indonesian Parliament, Angelina Sondakh, who was released after being sentenced to 10 years in prison due to being entangled in corruption, turned out to be actively participating in activities while he was an inmate at the Jakarta Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas). One of them became assistant director.
Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Corrections (Directorate General of Corrections) Rika Aprianti said Angie, as Angelina Sondakh is known, had been an assistant director of the film Hitam Putih Gray produced by Rutan Pondok Bambu which won an international award.
"As an assistant director in the film Hitam Putih Gray produced by Rutan Pondok Bambu and won an international award in Mumbai," Rika said in a written statement, Thursday, March 3.
In addition, she trains the Jakarta Women's Prison modeling group and carries out various other activities. Following are Angie's activities while at the Jakarta Women's Prison:
1) Independent Activities
a. Fashion design. Draw some designs of mukena and veil produced by RutanPondok Bamboo. Sew. Sewing of bags and mukena produced by Pondok Bambu Rutan. c. Batik. Participated in several batik trainings organized by the Pondok Bambu Rutan.d. Joined in the Farmers Group, LPP Class IIA Jakarta. Active in gardening and farming horticultural plants, live pharmacies and ornamental plants. e. Joined in the Breeders Group, at LPP Class IIA Jakarta. Maintaining ornamental birds and ornamental chickens. f. Joined in the Beginner Construction Group, at LPP Class IIA Jakarta. Make a bamboo gazebo and seating.
2) Personality Activities
a. Spiritual Activities1. Joined in the One Day One Juz Group, at LPP Class IIA Jakarta. Groups that routinely complete the Koran every month.2. Joined in the Al Quran Memorizing Group, at LPP Class IIA Jakarta.
b. Intellectual Activities Join the Green Library Group, LPP Class IIA Jakarta. A group that collects used books and lends them to inmates.
c. Physical Activities Join the LPP Class IIA Jakarta Table Tennis Club and participate in various table tennis competitions between women's prisons. Finally won 1st place in a double table tennis competition between women's prisons (Jakarta women's prison, Tangerang Women's Prison and Tangerang Children's Prison).
d. Art Activities1. Paint. Once painted together with IKJ in Pondok Bambu Rutan in one canvas.2. Joined the LPP Class IIA Jakarta Recycling Club. Produce recycled works from used plastic bottles and their works are exhibited and internal bazaars.3. Joined in the singing group Volareta (voice of Jakarta Women's Prison) and appeared in several internal events held by LPP Class IIA Jakarta.4. Active in music (playing guitar and cajon).5. Read poetry. Participate in the ballet Merangkai Asa and read a poem entitled Di Puing Ruruntuhan.6. Train Modeling Group LPP Class IIA JAKARTA.
3) Social Activities1. Became Assistant Director in the film Hitam Putih Gray produced by Rutan Pondok Bambu and received international awards in Mumbai.2. Joined in Sweep Jagad which is a cleaning group for LPP Class II A Jakarta which is tasked with cleaning the building block area.
For information, Angie has been in prison since April 27, 2012. She was found guilty of being involved in a corruption case in the construction of the 2011 SEA Games Athlete House in Palembang.
For his actions, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million. Not only that, Angie was required to pay a replacement fee of Rp. 2.5 billion and US$ 1.2 million, a subsidiary for 4 months and 5 days.
Of the amount to be paid, he just paid a fine of Rp 500 million. Meanwhile, for the replacement money, Angie has paid Rp8,815,972,772 and the remaining Rp4,538,027,278 was replaced with a prison sentence of 4 months and 5 days.
