Ministry Of Health: Daily Cases Of COVID-19 Decline In The Last Three Weeks
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health said the daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 had declined in the last three weeks.
"Several provinces have started to confirm the decline in daily cases and patient care over the past three weeks", said the Ministry of Health's COVID-19 Vaccination Spokesperson, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Tuesday, March 1.
She explained that the number of daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, February 28, was 25,054. Meanwhile, patients who are treated in hospitals are 35 percent of the available bed capacity.
The Ministry of Health noted that active cases on Monday decreased by 10 percent or 19,200 cases from the previous day. The provinces that have started to show a decline in cases over the past three weeks include DKI Jakarta, Banten, Bali, Maluku, Papua, and NTB.
Meanwhile, other provinces that have sloped in the past week and are being monitored for consistency of decline by the Ministry of Health are West Java, East Java, Central Java, and South Kalimantan.

"Although we are monitoring, there are still some provinces in Java and outside Java that are increasing. But in aggregate, we can see that the handling of the pandemic has improved nationally because provinces with large densely populated cities have passed their peak in a fairly consistent time", explained Nadia.
In addition to the decline, the Ministry of Health also noted that the patient recovery rate was still quite high. This is because the number of recovered cases on Monday, February 28, reached 43,992. "We continue to try to reduce the worst risk due to COVID-19 infection so that this pandemic can become endemic", said Nadia.
