JAKARTA – The sad news is that the owner of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, Arifin Panigoro, has passed away. The member of the Presidential Advisory Council, breathed his last on Sunday, February 27, at 02.29 PM Rochester Minneapolis time, the United States of America, or Monday, February 28, 2022, at 03.29 WIB.

According to information circulating in the media, Arifin was undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, United States. Reportedly, the body will be taken to the funeral home, Jenggala I Street, No. 2 Jakarta.

Arifin Panigoro is ranked 47th richest Indonesian according to Forbes. This Gorontalo-blooded Indonesian businessman was nicknamed "King of Indonesian Oil".
