Too Many Earthquake Victims In West Pasaman, Yarsi Simpang Empat Hospital Admits They Are Overwhelmed
PASAMAN- Dozens of earthquake victims in Nagari Kajai, Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra who suffered injuries to broken bones were referred to the Yarsi Simpang Empat Hospital.
The Director of Yarsi Simpang Empat Meri Hospital Erliza admitted that he was overwhelmed by receiving earthquake victims because of the limited space and available medical personnel. However, his party continues to try to handle the referred victims as much as possible.
Based on temporary data collected in the field, reported by Antara, Friday, February 25, the worst locations due to the earthquake that shook West Pasaman were in Nagari Kajai, Talamau District, and Kinali District.
Hundreds of buildings were reported to be heavily damaged, ranging from public facilities to residents' houses. Not only that, but the earthquake also damaged the Balerong meeting room at the official residence of the West Pasaman Regent.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 rocked the West Pasaman region on Friday at 08.39 a.m.
Information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the earthquake, which was located at 0.15 degrees north latitude, 99.98 degrees east longitude at a depth of 10 km, had no potential for a tsunami.
