In Addition To The Christmas Tree, The Star Fruit Tree Also Makes Yati Surachman Steady In His Conversion To Religion

JAKARTA - Yati Surachman's spiritual journey has impressed the public. Born into a Muslim family, Yati firmly embraced Christianity when she was only 12 years old. Yati also secretly studied the teachings of Christians.

"I saw a Christmas tree, there were Christians. I looked at the Christmas tree like I was amazed. With sadness, because I was the first child, I was always given the responsibility. When I saw the Christmas tree, I felt happy," Yadi said on the YouTube channel The Miracle of Life.

Yati recounts the sadness she experienced when she was little. He became the first child to be responsible for everything.

"At home there is a starfruit tree which is the source of the dispute. Because of that the tree blooms but never bears fruit. The flowers keep falling, so it's trash. If my sister doesn't clean it, I get angry," said Yati.

However, a different incident was experienced after the star fruit tree was given lights like a Christmas tree. As blessed, continued Yati, the tree bears fruit continuously.

"I don't know why it feels so comfortable to see a Christmas tree. It's a star fruit tree even though it was only given lights, how come it suddenly bears fruit," he recalled.

Yati Surachman then made up his mind to change his religion and asked to be baptized. However, Yati was determined to change religion without informing her parents and other family members.

"So far, I have not dared to say that I am a Christian," said Yati Surachman. Until he finished school and worked in films, Yati chose to secretly embrace Christianity to avoid conflict in the family.
