Perpetrators Of Fake Cooking Oil Circulation Arrested

SEMARANG - The Central Java Police arrested two people in an investigation into the alleged circulation of fake cooking oil in Kudus Regency, Central Java.

"Two perpetrators have been arrested. Currently, they are still under investigation and development," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy in Semarang, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 18.

According to him, the case is currently being handled by the Sub-Directorate of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police.

However, Iqbal has not explained in detail the roles and identities of the two perpetrators.

"The case will be released in the near future," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a cracker businessman in Dawe District, Kudus Regency, was deceived after buying cooking oil which was allegedly fake.

The victim realized the presence of fake cooking oil when he was going to fry the crackers.

The fake oil, which looks like water with a yellow dye mixture, was bought at a lower price than the market price set by the government.
