Police Track Down The Man Who Left The Elderly Dead While Riding A Motorbike At The Kemayoran Flyover
JAKARTA - An old man with the initials NS (77) was found dead lying on the flyover derivative of Jalan HBR Motik, west to east, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The man, a resident of Jalan Sunter Muara, was found dead on Thursday, February 17, yesterday.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head Kompol Purwanta said the victim suffered head injuries and died at the scene.
"The NS victim is a pillion driver from a motorcycle with number B 3869 UXG. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist with number B 3869 UXG fled," said Kompol Purwanta, Friday, February 18.
According to Suhanda, an eye witness to the incident, before the accident the motorcycle was traveling from east to west on Jalan HBR Motik, Kemayoran.
"Arriving at the flyover derivative, suddenly NS, the motorcycle pillion fell off the motorcycle," he said.
Seeing the victim unconscious, the motorcyclist left the scene.
"The motorcyclist fled the scene. Currently, it is still being tracked," he said.
The accident is thought to have been caused by the fugitive motorcyclist being negligent in driving.
"Because he was not careful when driving a vehicle on a public road unnaturally or lacked concentration, there was a traffic accident that resulted in his death," he said.
Currently, the case is still being handled by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit. Meanwhile, the motorcycle with the number B 3869 UXG that NS was traveling on was confiscated by officers as evidence.
