People With Disabilities In Bali Get Wheelchair Assistance From K3S
DENPASAR - The Head of the Coordinator of Social Welfare Activities (K3S) Denpasar, Bali, Sagung Antari Jaya Negara handed over wheelchair assistance to its resident, Made Yasa, a disabled person due to paralysis.
"This activity is a routine agenda for K3S Denpasar. This activity is in synergy with relevant regional apparatus organizations (OPD) as well as donors from private institutions, banks, and SOEs to carry out social activities and provide assistance tailored to the conditions of the elderly and disabled," said Sagumg Antari Jaya Negara in Denpasar, Thursday 17 February.
He said this activity is still targeting the disabled and the elderly with the continuation of previous social programs, as well as handing over basic necessities, hand soap, and masks," said Antari Jaya Negara accompanied by his deputy Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa and member of the Bali DPRD Wayan Sari Galung.
Antari Jaya Negara said that apart from the wheelchair, hand washing soap and masks can provide protection and encouragement to the elderly and disabled to always be disciplined in the process.
In addition, the assistance of medical equipment in the form of a wheelchair from Sesetan figures can be useful in filling daily activities at home.
"We hope that the wheelchair assistance will be useful in lightening the burden of people with disabilities. This will increase their enthusiasm for activities at home," he said.

Meanwhile, Bali DPRD member Wayan Sari Galung supports the steps taken by K3S Denpasar to help others with disabilities.
"I support what K3S is doing in helping people with disabilities. We hope that donors will channel their assistance through K3S so that it is right on target for people who need the assistance," he said.
Made Yasa's wife, Ni Luh Wirati, said that her husband previously worked in a hotel, because of his illness, he had a history of high blood pressure, which affected his current physical condition, resulting in paralysis.
"Thank you for the visit and assistance given this time, and this assistance is very useful to support the health of my husband Made Yasa. This is how my husband is now only lying limp in bed," she said.
