Still Rare In The Market, ID FOOD Distributes 129 Tons Of Cooking Oil To 110 Markets

JAKARTA - Food Holding ID FOOD has again disbursed 129 tons of cooking oil to 110 people's markets throughout Indonesia. This step was taken to address the scarcity of cooking oil and at the same time to meet the needs of the community.

ID FOOD President Director Arief Prasetyo Adi said the distribution of cooking oil was carried out through a business to business or B2B scheme to local producers and business actors at a number of locations in Indonesia.

According to Arief, a total of 110 people's markets will be allocated to DKI Jakarta and its surroundings, Java Island, Aceh Province, Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Bengkulu, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, Riau Islands, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku to Papua.

"The distribution to 110 people's markets throughout Indonesia is carried out in stages, the realization of the third phase in the Bandung, Bogor, Tangerang, Cengkareng, Cikarang areas and a number of markets in the Jakarta area with a total of 129 tons of cooking oil, has been carried out on February 15-16, 2022," he said in an official statement, Thursday, February 17.

Arief said that this program will also involve the Pasar Jaya Traders Association, Traditional Markets, Pasar Jaya, Cooperatives, BUMDes and local governments.

"This week it is also planned that cooking oil will be distributed to the Central Java region, after the island of Java, the realization is to the next people's market to several location points as scheduled," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi said that in its implementation, Food Holding could synergize to increase cooperation with local governments and local business actors to facilitate the distribution chain of cooking oil supplies in a number of parts of Indonesia.

"ID FOOD Food Holding can continue to carry out sustainable synergies with stakeholders both in the Regional Government and Business Actors in the distribution of cooking oil," he said.

Similarly, the Director General of Domestic Trade, Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan, said that ID FOOD Food Holding could make local business actors in a number of regions in Indonesia a partner. This of course can facilitate ID FOOD in distributing cooking oil to remote areas.

"Make local traders and business actors such as repackers in the area as partners, so that these traders and repackers can collaborate with ID FOOD in supplying cooking oil to the community," said Oke.

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir invited to work together to build the Indonesian ecosystem. This also includes the issue of cooking oil which is expected to be a mutual collaboration between BUMN, Regional Government, Central, and the private sector.
