Haedar Nasir Is In The Top 100 Social Scientist In Indonesia
YOGYAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nasir is included in the list of the Top 100 Social Scientists in Indonesia according to the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022.
"The assessment of the AD Scientific Index is based on scientific performance and the added value of scientific productivity of scientists in the last five years," said PP Muhammadiyah Public Relations Officer Adam Qodar in a written statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 15.
The data source from AD Scientific Index, said Adam, is Google Scholar with attributes such as total h-index, i10 index, and citations.
Adam Qodar explained that the h-index is an index that tries to measure both the productivity and impact of a researcher's published work.
Meanwhile, the i10 index is the score of a researcher in publications who have scientific papers and are quoted by at least 10 scientific papers.
Citation is the number of scientific works that are cited and become a reference source for scientific works.
"In a statement from the AD Scientific Index, the main requirement to be included in the assessment as a top scientist is that researchers must have at least 300 citations," said Adam Qodar.
He said around 743,755 scientists were included in the world ranking list, 1,273 of whom came from Indonesia.
Haedar Nashir, he said, has a total h-index of 19, an i10 index of 23, and citations of 2,984, placing him as the top social scientist in Indonesia at 37th place.
Meanwhile, at the regional level, Asia is at 1,061, and the world is at 14,426," he said.
"This is certainly proud for the big family of the Muhammadiyah association. The reason is that most of the figures included in the list are pure lecturers. They have more time to research, in addition to teaching in class and serving in the community," he said.
Meanwhile, Haedar Nasir, said Adam, besides being a lecturer at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), he is also the leader of one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia.
"The time is not only to research, teach, and serve, but also to be a leader of the people," he said.
