KPK Opens Position Selection, Novel Baswedan Doubts Anyone Interested
JAKARTA - Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Novel Baswedan doubts that the selection of positions at the KPK has many devotees. Because, he assesses the current leadership of the KPK is problematic.
"When the KPK leadership is in trouble and its sincerity in eradicating corruption is in doubt, will the position at the KPK become interesting," Novel wrote in his tweet on the Twitter account @nazaqistsha quoted on Tuesday, February 15.
Novel, who is now a state civil servant (ASN) of the National Police, said that instead of opening a selection of positions, the KPK should first improve. Including, cleaning up problematic leaders who violate the code of ethics.
With this step, he continued, the KPK will certainly be able to work optimally to eradicate corruption in the country.
"Before filling strategic positions in the KPK, you must first clean up the problematic leaders. So that the KPK can work well," he said.
As previously reported, a number of strategic positions at the KPK are currently still vacant. For this reason, the KPK carried out an open selection of 11 positions consisting of two Middle High Leadership Positions (JPT) and nine JPT Pratama.
For JPT Madya, the KPK is currently looking for the Deputy for Coordination and Supervision as well as the Deputy for Education and Community Participation. Meanwhile, for JPT Pratama, the vacant positions are Director of Investigation, Director of Coordination and Supervision of Region IV, Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board, Director of Gratification and Public Services, and Director of Inter-Commission Network Development and Agencies.
Next, the KPK is also looking for the Director of Anti-Corruption Campaign and Socialization, the Head of the Center for Strategic Planning for the Eradication of Corruption, the Head of the Human Resources Bureau, and the Head of the Public Relations Bureau.
"Currently, these 11 positions do not have definitive officials," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa in an online press conference, Monday, February 14.
As the person in charge of the open selection, four selection committee teams were formed. The entire team has 24 members and the Deputy Head of the Personnel Agency (BKN) Supranawa Yusuf sits as chairman of the panel.
There is also this open selection activity that will start from the registration stage which will be carried out from today, February 14 to February 28.
