Still Selling Alcohol, Bogor DPRD Doesn't Accept Holywings Called A Cafe With A Family Friendly Concept
BOGOR - The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of the City of Bogor, West Java does not agree that Holywings is called a cafe with a family-friendly concept. Because the cafe is still allowed
selling alcoholic beverages even though it is below five percent.
"I want to remind all parties, whoever it is, both business actors and community leaders and public policy makers. Don't use the term family friendly or family friendly for restaurants, cafes, or places that still sell alcohol even though it's below five percent. ," said Bogor City DPRD chairman Atang Trisnanto, in Bogor City, Antara, Thursday, February 10.
The operation of the Holywings Cafe is still a polemic in the community, because it uses the term family friendly. Even though the owner still sells alcoholic drinks which are clearly not good for children, especially for Muslims of all ages.
The Council through Commission I of the Bogor City DPRD in charge of government and law also summoned the Satpol PP and the Legal Department at the Bogor City Secretariat at the Bogor City DPRD Commission I working meeting yesterday. The DPRD's spotlight, said Atang, was not only on Holywings, which had just opened, but also cafes or other restaurants that still served alcoholic beverages.
According to him, the consistency of the Bogor City Government is tested in terms of the Bogor City Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Public Order and Public Peace and Community Protection.
“Because it's not appropriate to sell alcoholic beverages to be called family friendly. Which one is this family friendly? Is it true that selling alcoholic beverages below five percent is friendly to our children?
Atang said that as a city where most Muslims are prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages (khamr) regardless of the amount contained.
"That's the command of Allah SWT. If this is called family friendly, it is very dangerous," said Atang.
Head of Bogor City Satpol PP Agustian Syach said the presence of the Public Order Regulation (Tibum) will be strengthened again by the presence of the mayor's regulation (perwali).
However, according to him, the rule to prohibit alcoholic beverages below five percent, according to him, cannot be because it has been regulated by the central government.
"This is a new regional regulation, we are preparing the guardianship to strengthen it. So the directive remains clear that there is no alcohol above five percent in Bogor City, below five percent is still allowed, because the permit is regulated from the center," said Agus.
Agus explained that the Bogor City Government allowed Holywings to operate because it agreed to change the concept like cafes and restaurants in the rainy city to be adapted to local wisdom, with no sales of alcoholic beverages above five percent.
