Starting Today, MRT Jakarta Operates Until 21.30 WIB

JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta has changed the operating hours of its trains starting today, Thursday, February 10. Every day during the PPKM Level 3 period, the MRT operates from 06.00 WIB to 21.30 WIB.

Previously at PPKM Level 2, MRT Jakarta operated from 05.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.

The change in the operational time of the Jakarta MRT is set based on the reference from the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service Number 61 of 2022 concerning Technical Instructions for Setting Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities During the PPKM Level 3 COVID-19 Period.

"The distance between trains or headways is flat every 10 minutes and there is a limit on the number of users to 65 people per train," said PT MRT Jakarta's Corporate Secretary Division Head Rendi Alhial in a statement, Thursday, February 10.

Rendi said, MRT passengers are required to check their body temperature before entering the MRT station. Then, perform a scan through the PeduliLindung application at each entrance gate.

"The implementation of restrictions on passenger capacity is carried out strictly, as well as the placement of signs or markings to maintain social distance," said Rendi.

Rendi appealed to passengers to be disciplined in implementing health protocols in the MRT Jakarta environment, such as the obligation to wear masks, maintain a distance between users, wash hands frequently, and not speak, either in one or two directions, while on the train and the station platform area.

It is known that Jakarta implemented PPKM Level 3 for 7 days, starting from February 8 to 14, 2022. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reminded the entire community that the very fast spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 made the daily number of cases in Jakarta also rise drastically,

In fact, said Anies, the current daily case exceeds the record addition of daily cases in 2021 during the Delta wave. However, Anies reminded him not to panic.

"No need to panic too much, but also don't get carried away. Don't take it lightly. We've experienced a wave of ups and downs like this and we already know what to do together. monitor the development of the pandemic situation," said Anies.
