Densus 88 Arrest Two JAD Terrorists In DIY
JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror has arrested two suspected terrorists in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. They are a network of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).
"The arrests of two suspects in the terrorism crime of the JAD group network in the DIY region," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Thursday, February 10.
The two suspected terrorists had the initials RAU (31) and SU (51). They were caught in a different location
The RAU was arrested on Jalan Bener, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta City. Meanwhile, SU was arrested on Jalan Nyai Cabe, Sewon, Garon, Bangunharjo, Kec. Sewon, Bantul Regency Based on the results of the preliminary examination, they were said to have pledged allegiance to ISIS.
"RAU in 2014 pledged allegiance to the Amir of Daulah Islamiyah Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi and SU in 2016 pledged allegiance to ISIS," said Ramadhan.
However, the two suspected terrorists are still being investigated by Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators. The goal is to dig up information related to the group.
