Police Arrest Two Thieves Of Ornamental Plants Worth Millions In Bogor
JAKARTA - The Criminal and Investigation Unit of the Cidahu Police, Sukabumi Police arrested two thieves specializing in ornamental plants with high economic value whose prices reached hundreds of millions of rupiah on Wednesday, at around 03.30 western Indonesia time in the Bogor Regency area, West Java.
"We arrested the two suspects with the initials HW (49) and EJ (46) in one area in Bogor Regency, after receiving reports from residents," said Sukabumi Police Chief Grand Commissioner Adjutant Dedy Darmawansyah, quoting Antara, Wednesday, February 9.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cidahu Police, First Inspector Suryana Bande, added that the arrest of the two suspects was after reports from the public regarding the theft of ornamental plants inside the grand house, in Tangkil Village/Village, Cidahu District, Sukabumi Regency on Tuesday, February 8.
After investigating the crime scene (TKP) and asking for information from witnesses and victims, a team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cidahu Police immediately conducted an investigation and chase.

The police, who received information that the two suspects fled to the Bogor Regency area, immediately gave chase, and managed to find the hiding places of the two suspects along with evidence of a number of ornamental plants worth hundreds of millions of rupiah.
According to Suryana, the two suspects entered the courtyard of the grand house by destroying ultra violet (UV) plastic and then destroying various types of ornamental plants, one of which is Florida Beauty whose price per stalk can reach millions of rupiah. After successfully carrying out their action, they then exited through the back door and fled to Bogor Regency.
"We are still developing this case to reveal the network and whether or not there were other suspects in carrying out the action and as a result of HW and EJ's actions, the victim suffered losses of up to Rp. 200 million," he also said.
